Why did I get a Major Medical Quote... I'm on ClearShare

While you're ClearShare Open Enrollment isn't until March 2026, there are many compelling reasons to change plans... While these are our opinions based on review, we thought you should know! See disclaimer.

Why we're talking to you about a different plan

We have many clients on Clearwater's Major Medical plan... many of which started with ClearShare. They're all pretty happy they made the switch.

Why Look at Switching?

Swiching plans is an important decision. Here's are some reasons that we feel might be compelling for you.*

Greater Long Term Savings

While ClearShare saves you on monthly costs in the short term, Clearwater's Major Medical plans provide predictability and protection when you use your plan.

You have contractual claims rights when your claim is medically necessary and in-network. *

Paying Claims shouldn't involve you.

Health share, in general, puts you closer to the negotiation risk with provider bills. *

If you're done with letters from Collections with limited recourse, it might be time to change.

A stronger PPO network *

Clearwater's 2026 Major Medical plans have switched to the Prime Health Services Network. Your ClearShare plan is on the PHCS VDHP network. This change increases the provider-count by over 200,000 across the country with substantially more hospitals in-network.

Designed for Use

In our opinion, health share has the 1st priority of saving upfront-cost for its members. This is at times done by declining to cover your claims which forces you to appeal. This makes it easier for them to negotiate with your doctors. *

Clearwater's Copay Major Medical plans are designed with your USE in mind. They're there to cover the needs you know you have. A little more cost, a lot less hassle.

Amazing access without out-of-pocket cost.

You'll still have access to Tier 1 coverage. While not guaranteed, allowing Clearwater to find a provider for an imaging, surgery or procedure could result in your deductible being waived. (Tier 1 not available on the HSA 10,000 plan.)

This, paired with a smoother, jump-through-hoops-free claims process is what makes Clearwater truly special. *

Low cost RX

Clearwater's Copay Major Medical plans now offer $0 generics and Name brands as long as they're on the formulary (List of covered medications).

This could save you money each month compared to your current health share monthly contribution expectations on prescriptions. *
